TOPIC: OVERSTATED BATTERY CAPACITY

 

The Nextel accessories business is extremely competitive and some companies will do anything to get an advantage.  In particular, it is very common for companies to advertise a Nextel battery capacity that is much higher than it actually is, and then offer an exceptionally low price.  As you may know, the higher the capacity rating, the longer your Nextel battery will last.  In most cases you will be buying a JUNK Nextel battery whose capacity is far below what is stated.  As the saying goes ?If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is ?.

Any vendor that makes any of the following claims about their Nextel batteries are suspect:

i60, i90, i95, i730, i205, i530, i305 Extended batteries with ratings HIGHER than 1500 mah 
i60, i90, i95, i730, i205, i530, i305 Standard batteries with rating HIGHER than 1050 mah
i1000 batteries with ratings HIGHER than 1400 mah

If they swear that their Nextel batteries have the stated capacities, ask them to send
you a copy of the manufacturers specification sheet for the actual battery cells
which they are using.  If they do, send us a copy too!  We would love to see it.
